Sub buckets shown if no authoirization for bucket

Hi All,

we have a bucket structure including top Level buckets and then down under the further Levels. To the users we have assigned the authorization of top Level buckets. It was working fine but suddenly we have noticed that if the user is not having the top Level bucket authorization the Sub buckets are shown to him in the Switch bucket hierarchy on item Dashboard.

Any advices to prevent this behaviour ?

Hello LS

have you run an ST01 authorization trace to see which objects are been checked and what can be restricted on ?

The solution I can suggest in this case is to use the BAdI

/RPM/AUTHORIZATION method check_custom_authorization and prevent users

having 'CREATE' authorization on the bucket to be able to read the  details.

Hi Gerry,

This method is niether called while opening the item Dashboard or onaction of the button Switch hierarchy.
