Hi experts,
I'm facing an issue with service map and work center icons in NWBC 5.0.
The latest updates were applied to NWBC trying to fix this but nothing has changed.
When we configure an icon in a service map (or as a workcenter) they don't get displayed and we get a 404 not found error.
If we don't set any icon in the service map we get to see the default icon.
PFCG role
NWBC with icon set in service map
If I take out the icon from the service map this is what I see in NWBC (displays default icon)
Is there a previous missing step in regards to these icons? or a specific transaction for NWBC cache?
I cleared my browser cache (in Chrome) several times and that's not it.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance and regards,
Laura
Hi Laura,
Please check if the services for workcenter and pictograms are enabled in SICF.
Also check in the mime repository if they are there.
If needed then give me a call over skype on monday 😉

Hi Jakob
Sorry for my delay, I though I answered back days ago but the post somehow didn't go through.
Services and mime repository were there.
This was fixed by OSS note:
2245771 - Icons not displayed on Service Map
Thanks,
Laura

Hi, I am sending you a part of questions and answers about this topic. I hope that it will be useful for you.
Q: Can I create own folder structures for my system connections (as in SAP Logon)?
A: No. This feature will be released with the next version of NWBC (NWBC 5.0).
Q: Can I change the work center/service map icons?
Yes.
Q: Can I add custom icons to the work center/service map?
A: No
Q: In NWBC 4.0, can I change the welcome message?
The message on the Index page can be replaced by a different text, even with parameters.
Use parameter WELCOME_MESSAGE in the backend configuration table NWBC_CFG. See also SAP
Library: 4.6 Configuration in Table NWBC_CFG
Q: If an end user makes personalization changes in NWBC are they valid for his or her user ID or for
his or her local installation?
A: All changes stored locally on a user’s PC (for example reordering of work centers / icons for work centers /
hide some work centers / font changes/ etc) do not work on another PC.
All changes within canvas applications are stored on the server and would work on another computer.
Personalization: Options are stored locally and are Windows-user specific. The sequence of the work centers
and the icons are even stored per connection and per user accessing the connection.
This is the link, , from where i am sending you this information.
Regards and Best of luck.
