Friends,
Is it possible to configure hana to send emails with authentication smtp.gmail.com?
If not? What email services providers would you suggest.
Thank you for your time.
Zachary
To Route Sap Hana Emails Through Gmail:
Configure Sender In Hana studio or Cockpit.
Studio
Administration Panel > Alerts Tab > Configure (on tool bar where filters are)
Cockpit
Configure Alerts > Configure Email (Bottom Left footer) > Sender
Email address that is Sent FROM may need to in same domain that your gmail app is attached to..
as mine is @phizzle.com
SMTP server:
smtp-relay.gmail.com
Port: 25
is default anyway..
Configure relay in Google Admin:
Must have google admin Privileges.
goto
Apps > Google Apps > Setting for Gmail > Advanced settings.
SMTP relay service | HANA Allowed senders: Only addresses in my domains Only accept mail from the specified IP addresses: Yes Allowed IP addresses: HANA IP /32 Require SMTP Authentication: No Require TLS encryption: No |
Save this relay THEN Save again in bottom right hand corner.
Google says relay settings can take up to an hour.
Not sure exactly how to test, have tried checking alarms I know are issues, but they do not send emails...
I eventually got an email and it was fantastic!
Good Luck
