NWBC for desktop 5.0: why the side panel is disabled?

Hi NWBC 5.0 expert,

I have installed NWBC 5.0 for desktop with SAPGUI 7.40 on my PC. I confgure the link to the backend system (/nwbc/ node in sicf is activate). I have sidepanel role set for me on backend. I have set the sidepenal settings to be shown in new tab in NWBC settings>Personalization, or even in the user config .xml file to set the flag to "True". And I tried to use some tcodes that have sidepanels. But to the end, the side panle on my UI is dimmed (disabled). Can anyone tell me what could be wrong and how to test a tcode with an activate side panel?

In general, each side panel needs to be assigned with an app, or a self-built app, which needs to be added in the specific role as well. The NWBC tool config cannot activate the side panel. It is case by case situation that proper roles have to be set for the side panel.
