Hi,
Please advice on the below:
How to Assign a specific Track to Specific User, so that the Specific Track Assigned user will not work on other Tracks.
Is this can be achieved by DTR Privileges/Roles. if so in which parameter we can specify.
Kindly advice.
1) Is it possible to create and assign separate Role per each Track. This is to control each Developer to not to work on other Track.
2) Can this be performed by One Administrator (Globally) including for Local (or)
2 Administrators required for Global and Local.
3) If possible please help to provide example or sample architecture from SAP recommendation / implemented.
Thanks,
SrinivasaRao

However, I would like to add that you might:
1* use the option 'CMS Track Authority' http://<NWDI-system>:<port>/devinf.
Here, in any track, you might restrict any specific user what kind of actions they might perform.
2* if you need to restrict the access to the Source code in the DTR - you have to change the ACLs per any WorkSpace that concerns the specific track.
As I have mentioned previously this is usage of a kind of Role. But you might achieve similar results if you play around with this 2 options.
Hope this helps.

Hello
We usually have designed 3 roles for Dev, Quality & Production & usually for SAP Dev we will have role as ABAP_Dev and in Dev & Quality systems the role will have all access but in Production just display access.
But we cannot differentiate in one system EG: each abaper has different roles & access.
hope it helps you
Thanks

Hello SrinivasaRao,
It is NOT possible to assign any role to any development track.
Such functionality is not designed.
