Live auction Bidder/Bids ---->Find bidder, add bidder not populating

Hi SRM gurus,

Our live auction we created an auction from Shop--> Sourcing and when to try to add the bidder thru. tab --> Bidder/Bids --> Find --

we could see the list of the vendors but if we select the transfer then the required vendor is not populated.

Any suggestions/oss notes relevant for the same.

Kindly suggest.

Hi Sridhar,

do you have the issue while creating a Bid Invitation as well?

Usually via the Find function all Vendor records are listed. By ticking the vendor

records (check box) and the pushing the Transfer Button, the selected records

are transfered into the Bid Invitation / Auction.

Could you confirm, that you follow the selection procedure described?

Thanks for the reply.

We dont have issue while creating bid invitation.

We followed exactly the same procedure as you described.

Is there anything to do with the LAC bidding engine????????

Did you ever face this type of issue?

Hi Sridhar,

nope - have not seen that before.

The processes for Bid Inv and for Auction are almost the same. They also share

the screen for transferring vendors. The LAC is technically coming into the game

in the moment the Auction is published. I am curiuos, why it works in Bid Inv

and not in Auction for you. There are no specific settings needed for Auction.

When you are able to create a Bid Inv with one vendor and use the same information

during the Auction creation, it seems to be a technical issue, SAP needs to look

at directly via OSS.

Maybe there has been a modification done by one of your colleagues or an OSS

implemented has an side effect?

Hi Claudia,

I tried to find OSS notes for the same but couldn't.

Any other thoughts pls.

If we enter the BP no. and click "Add Bidder", it says the following:

"Bid is not open. Only assign open bid to portal"

Any clues!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

the message is related to the bid type. I assume, you created a restricted bid inviation.

Does that happend with any vendor number? Have you already been able to

successfully publish an auction? Which SRM Version and LAC version you are

using? Is the whole process working correctly for Bid Invitation?

Transfering vendors is the same screen both processes are sharing.

Hi,

Our SRM component version is 400, and SRM server 500

Our LAC component is 2.0

Using the option T Code : BBP_AUCTION using GUI we added using F4 help and we could add directly few of the vendors( two vendors we cant add i dont know y) and created an auction and published. If so I dont see any reason why it is not possible for the same bidders in webbrowser.

Any thoughts now ?

The whole process is working for bid invitation for the same vendors though.

Hi Sridhar

What I understand from your error message is your are trying to add 'Portal' to bidders list in auction.

This is possible only with 'Public Bid Invitation' (in bidding). Auction is only restricted type bidding and hence system does not allow you to add Portals.

Pl check note 642322; This note may not be relevant for you but suggest you to read the description which explains your problem.
