Planning Area Initialization error - Time buckets profile and time series are different

Former Member

Dear Experts,

We are facing error when trying to initialize DP & SNP PA.

Error says : "Time buckets profile and time series are different". Screen is attached here.

Very little information available on this error in SAP Notes etc.

Background : This is coming in sandbox system which was not in use or refreshed for almost couple of years.  We are trying to refresh sandbox from production system data for some test & dry runs.

1. Any details, any minute pointers will be helpful.

2. Also what are the consistency checks apart from DP & SNP Time series and live cache etc, which could help to avoid this or resolve this error.

3. Any pre- refresh checks or synch jobs etc. to be run?

Please help.

Thanks,

Pushkar

Hi Pushkar,

Please try running the consistency check program - /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_CONS_CHECK for your planning area and planning version and check if the inconsistency is repaired

Hi Alok,

Yes, we already ran this in background mode, but it was running for very very long time so we have to stop it.

Any other checks we are missing?

Thanks,

Pushkar

Hi Pushkar,

Are you using more than one aggregate in the same planning area and they are referring to different storage bucket profile?. This might be causing the inconsistency

Hi Alok,

Appreciate your quick check & reply.

Aggregates in SNP PA:  we have predefined list of standard aggregates.

How this will impact my DP PA in case it is aggregates?

Thanks for your help. Please suggest.

Thanks,

Pushkar

Hi Pushkar,

Please try running the consistency checks separately for DP and SNP Planning Areas. You can use parallel processing profile in the report ' /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_CONS_CHECK' for faster execution.

This will help to initially identify if error is due to DP/SNP Planning Area time series. Accordingly same can be repaired.

Alok
