Batch No can be used in customer claim?

HI SD expert,

When creating customer claim notification, we need to specify the batch no. in question.

I wonder if batch no is still available after it is sold to customer.

What do you mean by claim notification?  Return Order ?  If it is return order, yes, it is quite possible to fetch the original batch number when you create a return order.  For that, perhaps, you need to search SCN where it has been discussed many times.  If the process is not the one suggested here, then you need to explain what is the business process and through which transaction code, the claim notification is being created currently.

In case of customer complaint, we need to create a NCR notification to record the complaint.

Our product has a unique material and batch no for traceability.

Since the defective has been sold out, when we create NCR, are we able to use the material and batch no. for the products under discussion?
