Canonical Message in terms of JDBC Adapter

Hi All:

Can any one please let me know what exaclty canonial message is, example

Mapping like this

Database-->source message->cannonical message.

canonical message --> target message.

what does cononical means?

So how can I implement this forget about canonical messge.

Source Message -MessageTarget Message.

I have 3 messages I need to map source to message and message to Target message. It mean I need 3 DT, MT and MI.

But how can I Maap it and what are the steps in MM and IM...

if it is 1:1 mapping then specify MT in osurce and target of the Message Mapping. repreat this for the other sets also. and in IM specify the inbound and outbound interface in soruce and target respectiveyly and select the mapping program.
