Hi Satya,

There is lot of material around. You many start from the t-code: STMS from client 000 for a quick start and add the system which were already part of your landscape like DEV, QA, PPD/PRD based on your landscape design, then configure the transport route and so on.

By the way, what do you mean by you built a new PRD server from old Server? how did you build this server? you did a new installation or back up & Restore?.

Take the help of Basis consultant, they can help you to configure everything you have mentioned

Cheers

Hi Friends,

We have same SID.

I build the New PRD based on old PRD server(backup and restore). The IP is different from OLD server to New Server.

I want the same old transport routers.

The old PRD server will go for trash once Newly PRD is fine.

Please let me know what need to be taken care.

Best Regards

Hello,

Did you rename the system into another SID ?

ie PRD -> TST for example?

Do you expect to put this new instance in your existing TMS landscape ?

As far as I know, you can't have 2 systems with the same SID in the same transport landscape.

About the background jobs :

You usually restart you newly copied system without any batch process at first.

Then you connect to the system and use the report BTCTRNS1 in order to suspend any released jobs.

This will avoid running production jobs on the test system and will give you the time to unschedule or delete them.

Then you can restart the instance with batch processes after that.

Once you sorted out the jobs you can reschedule them using BTCTRNS2.

The same goes for the printers.

We usually lock any production printer after the refresh and only unlock the ones that can be used for tests.

You'll also have to put back the right spool server in SPAD.

BR,

Steve.
