Hi there, we have an issue with fragment bookmarks and BO promotion management.
Currently we are using Design Studio 1.5 SP1 on BIP 4.1 Support Pack 6 Patch 2 / Version: 14.1.6.1785.
Design Studio Applications are developed on BO DEV Server and transferred to BO PROD Sever using the CMC Promotion Management. Fragment Bookmarks can be found on the CMC via Applications / Design Studio Runtime / Manage Bookmarks.
After using Promotion Management again, the Fragment Bookmarks cannot be found by the Design Studio Applications. Within the Design Studio Bookmark Administration on CMC, you can see that the application name is missing in the application field of those applications that have been transferred. The CUID of the application is not changing during the promotion job. This behavior is also reproducible when the Application has not been changed at all and only has been transferred using promotion management.
According to SAP class room training, fragment bookmarks are NOT dependant on application version.
So the question is - did we find a bug or is there an incompatability using fragment bookmarks and promotion management?
Thanks for any advice helping to solve this issue.
Best regards
Stefan Hüttner
This is confirmed as a bug by SAP and we received a workaround which is working for us.
To avoid the problem, all bookmarks in the source system related to the promoted app should be deleted. Then on import to the target system the existing bookmarks should not be affected.

Hello Stefan,
We are having the same issue after upgrading from 1.4 to 1.5SP2.
Bookmarks created in 1.4 are no longer attached to an application according to CMC.
Did you happen to find the cause of this issue? Do you have any solution?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Tanguy

Hi Tammy - sadly not. We have raise an OSS call, but didnt receive an answer by now.
This is getting a big issue for us, since bookmarking is unusable with this behavior.
Otherwise we have to edit reports in the production environment which is not the designed use case.
Thanks for the question.
