Hi
We are implementing APO at a client that has a deep Bill of material (8 to 9 levels).
There are certain critical materials and components that we want to plan in APO.
Since to correctly arrive at the demand for these materials, we need to identify all the materials that are superior to these. For example if a component is going into three assemblies, we need to take all three of them to APO.
Has anyone an idea to find out the vertical chain from a child material?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Nitin
can you check following transaction in ECC system
CS15 : Where use list
Unfortunately this transaction only works for one material at each time.
The similar option you have in APO in /SAPAPO/MAT1 where you can enter material and fine Where use list from Extra tab on header.
Please let us know if this information helps you.
Thanks

Hi Nitin,
In CS15 you should see what you are asking for. If you put a component and select multi-level and execute, it should show the results.
If you don't see the results share one example. On the other hand if you want to put multiple entries and want to see the results then check below links where reports were generated with enhancements.

Hi Nitin
can you check the data in the following tables.
STKO BOM Header
STPO BOM item
STPU BOM Subitem
you need to use also the MAST Table, using the Field Value
STLAN - BOM Usage
STLNR - Bill of material
you can retreive the BOM compnenets
Create a query using the Tbale MAST & join the Tables STKO, STPO, STPU.
Here I think you can use in Mass.
