Print and Archive va03

Former Member

Hi experts,

I want print and archive an order, byt va03... I configure the repository, the category, the type of document, etc etc.

I test the archive manually and works fine, but, If I executed automatically with the print, not appear any error, but only print and not archive.

Why?

In sm58 appear the error:

Repository content   not exists

It seems a blank space... why?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Could you please be more specific in scenario test respectively automatically print? Which transactions / reports did you used for this purpose?

It´s simple, from trx va03, new order --> Sales document --> Issue Output To.

From there, I click to print and should archive too, but not archive.

I think it has not been designed by SAP to archive from VA03 "Issue output to". I discovered a note that describes a similar issue with VF07

Hello Victor,

you can check transaction SLG1 too, which is the Application Log.

Sometimes (not always) archiving-related error messages end up here.

Otherwise, to check if I understand correctly:

  • if you select "Print only", the printout is fine
  • if you select "Archive only", the archiving seems to be fine and you can actually see the archived document
  • but if you select "Print and archive", the printout is happening correctly, but no archived document can be seen?

Best regards,

Laszlo

Archive only or Print and Archive, never archive.

in SLG1 not appear any errors, only in sm58:

Repository content   not exists

It seems a blank space... why?

Hello Victor,

in this case:

  • transaction SM58 should show the program name which has failed
  • check the source code of this program and see exactly which business object and document type is used for this scenario
  • check in transactions OAC3 and OAC2 to see whether the links are fine for these objects / documents. Finally, check transaction OAC0 whether they point to a valid repository.

If all of these seem to be fine yet the error still appears, perhaps you need to contact a support department as deeper analysis (debugging?) is needed.

Best regards,

Laszlo
