Hi All,
Could someone guide me on how to configure Custom Alerts in WEB UI? Is the definition of a Global Parameter mandatory for this definition? Please let me know.
Hello Aadvika
Have you already configured alerts in the excel?
You need to configure alerts in the excel. Once you have added alerts in the excel, they should show up in the Web UI.
The alert is triggered if the scenario raises an exception. The alert and number of exceptions for the planning view and scenario are shown on your alert dashboard in the IBP ribbon in Microsoft Excel and also on your home page in the IBP web client.
Thanks

Hi Praveen,
Thanks for the speedy response.
My question is that, when we define and subscribe for alerts using certain metrics, filters, time periods etc, we don't see the alert pop up in the web ui. Is it mandatory to define alerts in Excel UI as in writing a calculation for an alert KF and then configure the alerts in excel ui and then move on to Web UI defining the alerts and then subscribe to the in the same manner?
Please confirm.
Regards,
Aadvika

In this model config guide, you'll find by searching for "Alert" that there is a global parameter you can set (limits number of alerts that are displayed), but you dont need to
Plus, in the online help you'll find under http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ibp50/helpdata/en/f8/d4745450c0b924e10000000a4c4043/content.htm?frameset...

and
than.
I think the model config guide has not much changed between the versions in that regards, and in principle the way of working is more or less the same. But I cannot tell you the differences in WEB UI, sorry, you need to read yourself
