SAP Project Implementation

Hi  All ,

This might be a stupid question 😕 but one of the pre - requisite  of SAP certification is to  have at least 1.5 years SAP implementation experience .Can anyone please define in detail about "Implementation"? After trying google it seems to be implementing a project end to end.

I am sharing my project details ,Please guide me whether they full fill the criteria of "Implementation".

  • HT/LT Project

(Customer Service and Outage Management Processes)         

Junior functional consultant

Business Blueprinting, requirement gathering, configuration of the system, Unit Testing, Authorization roles, Integration Testing. In charge of training for SAP CRM power users.

Project include following activities

Initiation & Planning Phase

Formal Activity Go-Ahead, Initial Data Analysis, Requirement Development, Planning.

Execution Phase

Business Blue Print/ Functional Specification Development, Solution Design Development, Development / Configuration, Authorization Matrix, Integration Testing, End User Verification (UAT) Execution & Sign-off, End User Training & Sign-off, Cutover.

Configuration includes multiple new transaction type with Action profile, Date profile, Text profile, Status management, Partner procedure, Organizational management, Item Categories, Copy control, Multilevel Categorization, Agent Inbox setting, IC Business Role profiles, Business Role for IC, CRM Web-UI adjustments, Rules for routing, Defining Rule policy, Authorization roles.

Integration with the legacy system based on ORACLE.

Realization of custom developments with ABAP, ABAP/OO, implementation of BAdIs.

Go-Live Phase

Solution Deployment on PRD / Cutover.

Post Go-Live & Closure Phase

Post Go-Live Execution, Formal Closure.

  • TAT and Escalation Process         

Project Manager

Business Blueprinting, requirement gathering, configuration of the system, Unit Testing, Integration Testing.

Project include following activities

Initiation & Planning Phase

Formal Activity Go-Ahead, Initial Data Analysis, Requirement Development, Planning.

Execution Phase

Business Blue Print/ Functional Specification Development, Solution Design Development, Development / Configuration, End User Verification (UAT) Execution & Sign-off, End User Training & Sign-off.

Configuration includes customization  of existing transaction (One-Order) with Action profile, Date profile, Date rules, Partner procedure, Partner Determination procedure , Item Categories, Access sequences, Item category determination, Product configuration, CRM Web-UI adjustments, Job Planning.

Realization of custom developments with ABAP, ABAP/OO, implementation of BAdIs.

Customization of Smart forms.

Integration with SharePoint.

Go-Live Phase

Solution Deployment on PRD / Cutover.

Post Go-Live & Closure Phase

Post Go-Live Execution, Formal Closure.

Your experience covers E2E implementation.

Basically one should be involved in the various stages in ASAP methodology.

Apart of E2E  ,will following material will be enough for reg , as i can't afford rejection and apply back,this is my last chance to get register.

SAP - CRM Functional Projects:

  • Creation of customized Business Roles and Navigation bars, Configure Logical link IDs, Role Configuration Key, UI Configuration, Design Layer Customizing, Work centers, Assignment blocks, Direct link group  and Transaction Launcher for end users.
  • Customization in Transaction Types, Item Categories, Item Categories Determination, Product Enhancement, Organization Data Determination, Partner Processing, Action Profile and Status Management.
  • Configured ICI based alerts, Surveys and Broadcast messages in Web-UI.
  • Configured Email based alerts through Rule policy.
  • Creation of several PFCG roles for different types of users and needs.
  • Replication of org. chart from HCM into CRM.
  • Configuration of agent inbox for the new service request was done with quick searches.
  • For some reason, we turned off the replication jobs of Org. chart between ERP and CRM, to cover that a project was develop In ABAP to accommodate transfer order in ERP and same in CRM.
  • Configuration of Business Partners, BP roles, Number ranges and Field Groupings.
  • Addition of customized workflow and their end to end routing, according to business processes.
  • Middle-Ware: B.Doc Monitoring, Queues Monitoring, Creation of Logical System.
  • Defined communication settings, email addresses and email settings.

Support activities:

  • Maintaining Org. chart of the organization and providing support for the changes in it.
  • Responsible for training business users and post go-live support activities.
  • Conducted training sessions for team members in functional areas, and impart knowledge on business context, solution design, open issues, and act as mentor.
