Operation Mapping - ICO

Hello

We are having issues where the OM is not getting populated whenever we use an idoc as sender interface or external definition. But when I use DT/MT/Service Interface based on Mt, it is populating.

We are using PO7.4

Sam

Hello Sam,

Try creating an interface for the IDOC/External definition and check if the OM list is displayed.

I have checked and it has not displayed, I am wondering whether this is something to do with SLD even though I am using only business service in the ID.

Hello Sam,

Please check if you have assigned the Outbound Interface in Sender Tab of your Business Component. PFB screenshot for reference.

Add the corresponding SWCV in the BS at SLD.

Hi

I just checked and the SWCV is displaying.

It is only when I select the OM, it shows the sender interface and beyond that nothing.

Hi,

Basically we are using ICO's for pass through scenario.

which means no conversion.

If we need to convert message we should use OM in ICO.

Hello Sam,

Have you created the inbound service interface? It is only when you create the inbound service interface that you will be able to use the message mapping.

Hello

Yes, I have created inbound service with both external definition or idoc and it didn't recognize.

Allright, then have you used the same inbound service interface in receiver interface tab of ICO in ID ?

Hi

I am bit confused, if i have ICO which is the only option in PO7.4, why do you say OM is not needed.

Does it automatically identify the mapping?

I have a different source and different target.

Also, I can't enter manually the OM in ICO.

Sam

Hi Sam,

As per my understanding of PI.

We are creating ICO's for better performance, which means its using AAE/AEX.

So that we no need of Mappings, I mean we no need to mention mappings in ICO.

Hello

It is true that ICOs are for better performance, but I don't think it will automatically find the OM if we don't enter it.

Make sure to chose the SWC of sender interface in ICO.

Hi Ram

When you create the ICO, it asks only for sender interface and namespace and sender component.

Since we use Business componenet, the sender interface is added in the list and also lists while creating ico.

I am not sure where it will ask SWCV in ICO

Hi Sam,

So it is BC.

So manually enter the OM.

If it is ICO no need of OM I think.
