Automatic reschedule activity date when shift another activity

Hi Gurus,

I have trouble about shifting activity, i try to imitate function ms.project automatic reschedule.

Act                       Start                    Finish

Activity10             02.11.2015           03.11.2015

Activity20             04.11.2015           05.11.2015

Relation between activity FS, Activity 20 as successor.

I try to extend finish date activity10 through CJ2B to 10.11.2015.

why activity20 did not reschedule to 11.11.2015(Start)  12.11.2015(Finish)?

please can someone help me to give me solution, what should i do?

You have selected "WBS determines the dates".  So the dates on the assigned WBS are passed down to the activities and they have to work within those dates.  Strange things can happen if the dates aren't aligned.

Is there a reason you wan this?  Otherwise change to strict bottom up planning.

I also usually use backwards scheduling as the finish date is more critical that the start date.

I followed your instruction, I changed to backward scheduling & bottom up. but still not yet work.

when I tried to extend finish date of activity 1, start date of activity 2, didn't shifted.

what should I do next?

I am using Back Scheduling and Network Determine dates, for which i am able to get the 2nd network activity followed by first network activity

did you set date of activity 2 manually after extend finish date activity 1?

would you mind if I see detail of internal & date tab both of activities?

Hi Michael,

I didn't maintain any date manually.

In the Internal Activity - Relationship for Activity 10

If the Successor is not check, then i hope the Activity 20 will not change
