What is the exact use of 'Party' in SAP XI. In which situations we can use this one and how to use this one.

party is used for B2B communication,its like a name for ur business organisation so that the external systems can identify it uniquely and send messages to it.
think of party as ur house address.if someone has to send a mail to u,he will give ur name and then ur house address,now ur house address is unique in the whole world.similarly in the XI world the party name is unique,u get the party name from organisations like DUNS NAFTA etc

'Party' is used in B2B communication to represent a seperate entity.
For example, if two organisations are communicating heavily as a business requirement then both can assign each other as party.
