Dear all,
could anyone make a clear set of differences between SAP SLT Replication Server and SAP Replication Server. Right now i have not a clear understanding of the difference in terms of scenario usage. My understanding is basically that SAP SLT is a product sap on netweaver and Replication server is a Sybase tool..
Thanks
Antonio,
Your understanding is correct. While there are clearly differences in how these two tools function (e.g. one being trigger-, the other log-based), their use case is, roughly, the same - for real-time replication. SLT will be easier to pick up for somebody familiar with SAP-GUI-Based configuration, SRS will be handier for somebody with DBA background.
For more information - this recent TechEd video wraps it all up very well
