When to use Salesforce advantco Adapter?

Hi All,

We are in initial phase of starting a project wherein we are required to integrate SAP ECC with Salesforce.

I have seen blogs explaining how we can integrate PI with SFDC using SOAP adapter and java mapping. But also I see that SFDC adapter is available in market by advantco.

Question is , do we use SFDC advatco adapter only because it provides ease of use and saves time and effort? or are there any possible scenarios in SAP SFDC integration where integration is not possible without the use of advantco adapter?

We are integrating REFX module of SAP with SFDC CRM .

Thanks.

Yes, it reduces the development time. Check the benefits here

You can consume Salesforce WSDLs with a SOAP Receiver http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/50a76cfa-4966-2d10-aba7-da496d9b5...

However you can have problems with determined things like salesforce security integration, working with session ids and so on. Sometimes, you can try with java mappings to do it, but it is not recommendable to use mapping level for connection purposes.

Regards.
