Live Office 4.1 SP6 Not supported BEx Variable Prompt?

I have built a BEx query that imported to WEBI (Direct BEx via OLAP Connection) with variable prompts. The prompts worked fine in WEBI but not in LiveOffice 4.1. Almost all the prompts in Live Office appeared to be "Specify Key Dates" (that is not expected prompts that we define in BEx)

I noticed Live Office 3.1 was working fine with prompts. It could be due to LOV and structure that store in Universe which is compatible in LiveOffice.

Why Live Office 4.1 does not support OLAP connection ?? This created inconvenience to our users... Any idea how to overcome this? Thanks!

Kok,

      OLAP connection is NOT supported with LiveOffice, you need to use Analysis for MS Office for BW source.  LiveOffice is best supported against relational sources and Universes.

Bex variables are not supported in Live Office.

Kok,

    For OLAP related connection, SAP's direction is to use Analysis for Excel.  SAP has been very clear with tools direction and that LiveOffice will NEVER support OLAP connection.   Your only direction from Excel is Analysis for Excel.
