Off cycle payroll scenario

Dear SAP Mentors,

I am in Implementation project which will go live on April 1st 2016. For Payroll if an employee has got separated in March 2016 and his status is Inactive then can we run an off cycle payroll run in April 2016 for that employee (wage type amounts will be maintained manually in Infotype 0267)

Please note that no regular payroll is run as SAP goes live on 1st April 2016.

We can run offcycle payroll and Regular payroll as well, We have that provision.

We can use field Runpayroll Up to field and we can run payroll after separation go to IT0003 and check the documentation of it.

Mean while go through documentation of Offcycle workbench transaction.

You can run an offcycle by updating infotype 3, but do you want income tax to be deducted?

Thank you for immediate response however my query is that we going LIVE from April 1 2016 and the employee has left the organization in March or feb or jan 2016 now if if have to make him offcycle payment through SAP in April 2016 how to do that? There is not a single regular payroll run for this employee its just offcycle payroll that we need to make.

Hi,

Maintain field "Run Payroll upto" to 31.04.2015 in IT0003 using PU03.

But, as income tax and other calculation would not be done. FYI- Tax calculation in off-cycle can only be done after 1st regular payroll in any fiscal year.

As the others have said, you can update the 'Run payroll upto' field  in IT3 with the desired offcycle date if you want offcycle to be run. But if you need income tax to be deducted, you should go for regular payroll & update 'Run payroll upto' accordingly.
