DSO/ Cube to ADSO

Hi All,

Does any one have an idea is there any process to migrate/convert from all type of DSO and INFO CUBES to ADSO?

We are moving to BW 7.4  SP10 on HANA, we are thinking is instead of opimizing existing dso and info cubes , is there any process to directly use features of ADSO.

Hi Manoj Reddy,

It is not required to convert Cube/DSO into In memory object now, conversation of Cube/DSO is old technology now, which is not there now.

And If you waned to use Advanced dso in place of  Cube, you need to put development efforts using HANA studio. As now there is no tool released just convert Cube to Advanced DSO.

Hello Manoj,

A transfer tool for the conversion of classic DataStores to DataStores (advanced) is planned for the next 7.50 feature package which is planned for SP4 (mid. of July this year).

I do not think the conversion tool is available in SAP BW 7.40. It is supposed to be available in BW 7.50 with release of SAP Note 2238220 .  Seems the note is still not available for customers (at least I could not access it).

Hi Manoj,

As of now, SAP is not offering any such conversion tool. Moreover, Advance DSO can be created using HANA studio which is eclipse based and not available in BW workbench.

Link shared above is not actual conversion. it it is a copy of the old object which is very cumbersome and require lots of manual effort and still prone to error.

Hi Manoj,

I think tool is available in BW 7.5 onward as per the doc http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-66052

You can do it manually, below doc explained about this procedure.
