Client Copy from Production to Development

Hi,

I want to perform client copy from PRD system to Development system.

But our requirement is that is there is any way to refresh ONLY configurations in DEV from PRD and this should not copy the development objects.

I know that we can perform client copy using SAP_ALL profile, but it will copy all the changes in the  Production to Development. But we want to copy only configurations but not the development objects.

Can any one please suggest if there is any way to perform the same.

Surya, You can use these profiles to copy the configuration, SAP_CUST, SAP_CUSV, SAP_UCSV, SAP_UCUS.  Also when you copy back to Dev from Prd, Dev will become your golden client. Cheers

You could perform client export on production with SCC8 and SAP_CUST profile, which would result in an export of the configuration only.  This could then be imported into your DEV system, creating a configuration-only client there.  Development objects such as programs and table definitions are client-independent and would not be include in the export.
