Batch Management Indicator Missing_Material Master

Dear Team,

I am trying to activate the indicator "Batch Management" (Check box) in material master "Purchasing View". But I could not able to see the "Batch Management" check box in "Purchasing View". Is there any configuration required to enable this check box in material master?

Dear Selva,

Go to t-code OMSR and for required matertial type make  MARA-XCHPF field optional for desire t-code. Currently it is in display mode thats whay u can not change.

In OMSR, the field MARA - XCHPF  (field selection group 75) is set as "HIDE" for my material type.

Change it to optional. Then it will be in changeable mode.

Hello Selva,

Please follow the below step for the batch management indicator field in Material master purchasing view

1. First check the field group number for respective filed group:

     Filed name : MARC-XCHPF and selection group: 75

2. Go to Tcode: OMS9 Tcode: enter the field selection group as "75" with field name "MARC-XCHPF"

3. Now Select the field ref and as per your requirement and you can set the Indicator as Hide/Display/Req entry/Opt entry for Tcode: MM01/mm02/mm03 or for specific material type HALB/FERT/ROH.

Please check in your system and confirm the same.

The batch management can be activated in 3 ways as per standard SAP

1.Client level

2.plant level

3. material level

and there are certain configuration steps you have maintain in the SPRO

so please search in SDN for batch management configuration you will get lot off threads
