Webi Properties SAMPLE result set option

Hello Experts,

I've a client requirement that Webi report should generate random number of rows while refresh on open.

i've got the info. that by enabling SAMPLE RESULT SET on webi properties it should work but unfortunately the option was disabled for me.

May i know how to enable this option?

Your expert suggestions are most welcome..

P.S:I've all the authorizations on Webi Application.

Hi,

What is your backend data base?

Not all databases support fixed and random sampling. If they are not supported, the properties are disabled (in the Java Report Panel) or invisible (in Query - HTML). Sampling is not available at all in the HTML Report Panel.

This option is available in relational .unx, but not available in OLAP .unx or BEx queries.

My backend is IBM Netezza

I'm trying on relational universe UNX.

I've  using webi Rich client tool and java mode BI Launchpad too..

but still no luck.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

Then might be it's not supported with  your database.It is enabled with Oracle.

Where can i find a reference document/info. about this option is not supported on Netezza as i can convey to my client in a better way.

     Have you tried the Sample Data set option using WebI from BI LaunchPad as an Administrator?  Also does the Sample Data Set option work using the sample eFashion Universe, just to confirm that this features has NOT been disabled through Access Rights?

Thanks for your response..

Have tried with admin user and the option is not enabled.

Seems Netezza not supported this feature.
