How to set up automatic material to material posting after TO confirmation on fixed bin

Hello,

we have a situation where a material is received and needs to be put away in two different storage types. Putaway confirmation is done on both storage types, however after confirmation on one of these storage types (on a fixed bin) the material should be changed into a different material (material to material posting). We need a solution to automatically change the material after TO confirmation on the fixed bin, and leaving the possibility to add the original material whilst the changed material is still occupying the bin.

Material to material will impact the Inventory Management also,  so not only at transfer order confirmation you need to look for Post Goods Receipt also other wise you will get the stock deficit error where WM stock is updated but IM is still pending (Since you mentioned putaway I hope that you receive goods against the purchase order / production order)

Technically it is very much possible by calling the below mentioned three FM

BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE',

'L_TO_CREATE_PCN' &

'L_TO_CONFIRM'.

However from operation perspective I see a issue here, in the system you can make the change of the material how about physical material number which exist on carton or label ?
