Again, could you please check if there is a hidden dialogbox which is maybe modal (so taking the keyboard focus within the SAP GUI)?
Second which Java version are you using?
Third If you start the SAPGUI from a terminal window - are there any messages which might help you to solve the problem?
Dear Mr. Fabian Herschel,
Thanks for reply,
=> no any hidden dialogbox appear in screen.
=> We are using Java 1.7, SAP GUI Java 7.30 ver 9 on Ubuntu 12.02.
=> We run SAPGUI from terminal windows but hang problem is still.
Pls. also guide for which java use SUN or Oracle.

3. The PAM for SAP GUI for Java 7.40 Latest available version: 7.40 Revision 5 says:
If UBUNTU, then: - Ubuntu 14.04
JAVA: Oracle Java SE 8 (32bit and 64bit)
Yes I know you have SAP GUI JAVA 7.30, but the first docuement listed claims:
SAP GUI for Windows 7.30 is now out of support. Please, upgrade to SAP GUI for Windows 7.40.
==> So update your Ubuntu, Java AND SAP GUI andhopefully it will get running
In addition the PAM/doc says:
The support deadlines for SAP GUI for Java 7.40 are not determined, yet. Updates will be published
in this document and SAP note 147519.
When using Linux check the respective VM support matrix:
- http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/java8locales-2095355.html.
SAP tries to make sure that SAP GUI for the Java Environment runs on other combinations as well,
but note that the solution of problems caused by the Java Runtime depends on the support of the
Java vendor.
Hope that helps now
Fabian
Hello,
Do you mean that the keyboard does not work anymore, but only at the SAP GUI?
Then you have to close the SAP GUI and open it again?
Is there any popup window open (maybe behind another window)?
Does this always occur when you perform a specific action? Or can it occur when you are executing any transaction / screen?
Regards,
Isaías
