Error During installing Solution manager 7.1 SR1

Hi All,

While trying to install Solution manager 7.1 SR1, it got stuck at Start instance,below is the log which from sapinst_instdir.

ERROR 2015-11-02 15:04:53.248

FCO-00011  The step start with step key |NW_Onehost|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_Onehost_System|ind|ind|ind|ind|onehost|0|NW_CI_Instance|ind|ind|ind|ind|ci|0|NW_CI_Instance_Start|ind|ind|ind|ind|start|0|start was executed with status ERROR ( Last error reported by the step: ABAP processes of instance SOL/DVEBMGS00 [ABAP: UNKNOWN] did not start after 10:10 minutes. Giving up.).

Please let me know how do i fix this, if any other log file is required please let me know.

Hi Aditya,

Stop the installation, Just do the full system restart and then try again in the same phase. still are you facing same issue pls attach the full log.

Hello Mrigank,

1. Could you post the log of the failing instance startup.

2. Please check the running processes

eg: sapcontrol -nr <Instance No> -function GetProcessList

3. Please restart the sapstartsrv process.

eg: sapcontrol -nr <Instance No> -function RestartService

4. Try to start the instance manually.

eg: sapcontrol -nr <Instance No> -function Start

5. What's your O/S and DB ?

Thanks Amerjit,

Issue got fixed, increased the pagefile and restarted the installation with the old option. Installation successfully completed.
