Hi,

In Kitting, Whenever any user change any data in released Production order for example Date etc, system create another Outbound delivery to pick and stage material.

So for a one Kitting Production order, we have many outbound delivery which leads to over picking for Staging.

Regards,

Pardeep Malik

Hi Pardeep,

It is standard behavior , Please check the below .

Taking Into Account Changes in the Production Order

During material staging via the WM-PP interface, the system takes the following changes into account:

  • Changes in product quantities
  • Changes in assembly part quantities
  • Material changes
  • Changes to the work center
  • Technical completion of production order
  • Cancellation of technical completion
  • Change in storage location or plant
  • Change to batches (see

Pick Parts)

  • Changes to dates/times

Example

The system cancels, for example, all superfluous transfer requirements (TRs) for pick parts, or triggers a follow-on request for missing quantities via a new TR.

Material Staging - Warehouse Management System (WMS) - SAP Library

In EWM, It is Outbound delivery instead of TRs.

As per my opinion, We do enhancement in such a way that Out delivery should not created many  for changes in production order.

1> Control after release , user can not change any thing in production order or need special authorization to change .

2> WM staging triggered for some specific condition to create delivery .

Thanks,

Ajit
