Hi Krishna,

This is strange. Having a standalone enque server is still okie

Okie try this thing out.

On each of the application servers go to transaction ST11 and search for the file dev_ms using search option (CTRL+F). The instance which has this file will be your Central Instance having the message server.

Hello Krishna,

Please go to transaction RZ11 and check the value of profile paramter rdisp/mshost.

rdisp/mshost is the Hostname where message server is located.

The value will be your server where message server resides. Please let us know if this solved the issue.

Regards.

Hi Krishna,

Normally the best way of looking for the central instances is to check for enques. Since in your case you say it is one some other server !!! do one thing.

Go to transaction RZ04. Double click on anyone of the operation modes.

You will get details for all the 5 instances.

The central instance is the one which looks like this:

<sid>_DVEBMGS<instance number>_xxxx

where xxx will be hostname of the instance.

while the dialog instances will be like

<sid>_D<instance number>_xxxx

where xxx will be hostname of the instance.

Please award points if this solved your query.

Regards.
