MR21 price not updating in Material Master

Dear Experts,

we are in process of doing production through MTO Scenario, and Material Ledger is Active. Actually we want to Change one of the Material price through MR21. when we doing this, the Corresponding Price is not updating in Material Master. its showing previous Price only..is Price control might be reason,,,? am unable to locate the reason for this...

i was facing the similar situation with material and resolved with my below understanding:

`1. For moving average price-controlled materials(V), if the valuation price (VALPR) is updated, it will affect the moving average price. so try to udpate the valuation price with New price field

2. For standard price-controlled materials, the moving average price is a statistical price that has no influence on the valuation but it is calculated for information. During the material price change in MR21, the valuation price and the statistical price are treated separately.

The new price (VALPR) in MR21 refers to the price according to the material price control. For standard price controlled materials, if the valuation price (VALPR) is updated, it will affect the standard price. If the statistical price (STAPR) is updated, it will affect the moving average price. For moving average price controlled materials, if the valuation price (VALPR) is updated, it will affect the moving average price. If the statistical price (STAPR) is updated, it will affect the standard.

Resolution/Solution:

To save a price change for both the standard price and the moving average price of a material, you need to manually change both prices in separate fields.

3. please check material current period in accounting view. your posting month should be accoring to the material current period

Hi Ravi,

When ML is active, you should use MR22 if you wish to make any manual adjustment to material price. You cannot use MR21.
