can anybody tell me more about the Sybase DBA Development Program

Hi,

Can anybody shed more light on the Sybase DBA Development program? I would be very interested.

I appreciate this was announced serveral years ago and so not breaking news but I didn't know about this. I only hope SAP hasn't curtailed this as well.

"MARCH 18, 2008 — Sybase today announced the formation of the Sybase DBA Development Program, designed to promote individual career development within the current Sybase Database Administrator (DBA) community as well as to encourage familiarity and expertise in Sybase database products and technologies within the industry at large. The program will offer database professionals exclusive educational, career development and networking opportunities."

I can't say I recall hearing anything about it for a long time.

I was able to find the full press releasae on the Wayback Machine at www.archive.org:

The press release points to a community on xing.com: http://www.xing.com/net/sybasedba.

which seems to still exist.  Looks like you could sign up for an account and see if there is any recent activity there.
