Hi all,I would like to know how Technical Design Document is created in BODS,what information to be included from the ETL prespective.Please give me an example template.Please give the information in detail,need it very urgent.

Hi devika,

Firstly,go to data services management console then you will find an option called AUTO DOCUMENTATION just below the ADMINISTRATION. If you go in to that tab then you have select your repository and project then the job you wanted to document.Select the respective job or job then find the print option on the top then the DS will genearate an auto documentation to save it as a PDF or Ms word you like.

Try it and tell me that this is the one your looking for or not

                        Thank you for the reply but the document I was supposed to prepare is the Technical Design Document containing the connections,configurations and other all information relating to BODS part in a project.Please help me with it.

Your question is generic.

The technical spec needs to expain the purpose of each Data Dervices object (Table/ WF/DF/File format) that are to be created with in the job or project.

The techinical specification document template varies depending on the project need.A typical data conversion project involving SAP Data Services , a technical spec document contains the following information.
