0RF_CHARVAL_ATTR not extracting records after activation ?

I want to see the values for characteristic name for ATNAM field. Activated the DS and unable to see the values in RSA3. Please advise,

This field will fetch the characteristic values of the text for the ATINN Internal Characteristic.

please let me know is there any config setting to get the DS values to BI. I have checked in RSA3, unable to see the values.

Hi Daniel,

This datasource extracts characteristics values for Controlling characterstics. More specifically from table WRF_CHARVAL_HEAD. Ideally WRF_CHARVAL_HEAD table is driver of this datasource.

So please check if you have any entries in this table.

If you need all texts for all characteristics then you will have to go with a custom datasource on CABN table.

Can you please let me know how to code a generic extractor which passes ATINN value and extract the text name ( ATNAM) field through the FM.
