Hi,
I have requirement to setup the Smart Data Access between the BW HANA system and Oracle Database, currently my Oracle Database version is 11g, just wanted to know with this version can we setup the Smart Data Access,as per the HANA administration guide Oracle 12c is supported.
If it is supported please let us know the steps which are different other than Oracle 12c.
Hello
You can use Oracle 11 for a remote SDA connection. We found that with using the Oracle 12 client, this worked well also.

Hi,
Going by the Smart Data Access central note below the only Oracle Database version supported is Oracle 12c as per SAP
Have not come across any documentation from SAP that refers to an exceptional support to older versions of any other RDBMS including SQL Server, Teradata etc....

Hope this helps
