how to connect sap pp-pi to dcs system

Hi Gurus,

Can any one share your experience on connecting DCS (Distributed control system) to sap PP-PI, i need to get the live data from DCS system to sap to plot control charts based on the process parameters. Also would like to know whether can it be connected to sap through RFC like MES or any other means like XI/PI or any other interface.

Thanks for your reply Caentano.

It gives me fair idea on SAP ODA and i need to deep dive further on this. But still i am unclear whether SAP ODA can support DCS system, but what i understand is if it supports then no need of any additional interfaces like XI/PI to connect between these as ODA can take care of it. Let me explore further on this. Thanks.
