Replacement material in Service Order

Dear SAP experts,

We are now implementing parts interchangeability. As described in the library below:

Material Exchange in PM Orders, PP Orders, and Networks - Parts Interchangeabilities - SAP Library

We're suppose to see the icon 'Material Replacement' in component tab, which I dont see. Is there any other action that I must do to show this icon? (note that this icon appears during PO in scenario material exchange in PO).

Hi,

I have found the solution. Apparently we need to activate this business function:

AD_MRO_CI_2 which is part of DIMP packages.

Apparently SAP fails to mention this in the SAP library

This looks like its part of Discrete Industries and Mill Products (DIMP):

Could be part of the Switch Framework.

Talk to your ABAP Team who should be able to check it out for you.

Hi Pete,

Have checked with ABAP team and no luck. The problem is there is no error message to be debugged, the button doesnt even show up. The odd thing is the material exchange in PO works, as we saw the same button appear in the PO (tcode ME21N/ME22N)
