I have a requirement to create Purchase Organization in following business scenario.
In a company service, manufacturing, import, subcontracting, stock transfer will be done where all taxation will be maintained like CIN, excise, cst, vat, service tax. Import and Export process will also take place.
Please suggest how many Purchase Organization can be created.
Regards
Vinay Tewari
You can manage all business process with One purchase org but you have to create 2 pricing procedure - One for Local and other for import - Control in Vendor master
All procurement process you have, you can decide with document types - not by purchase org.
Another field that you can use in deciding group of people is purchase group.

It is your very own decision in the design phase how many purchasing organisation you create.
Of course it is beneficial to know what a purchasing organisation actually is and what it does.
Just use Google to find the detailed description in help.sap.com, for me it is already the very first hit if I enter: purchasing organization sap
Your mentioned criteria had never any influence in defining a purchasing organisation in our design.

We generally create a new purchase organization when our entire purchasing cycle (procure to pay process) will be going differently. I agree with Jurgen sir, it is your own decision. All these things you have written can be happened under one purchase organization also. Why does your organization want to create a number of purchase organization ? Are they thinking something different ?
