Business Role - Queries

Hi Alessandro,

Your links really helped for me. Thank you.

I also have a query on Business roles.

The user is assigned with 2 Business roles which 10 single roles each and 8 single roles common among them.

We created a request for removal of 1 of the business role, but after request completion the Business role was removed from User, but the 2 uncommon single roles were not removed.

We have maintained parameter ID 4011 to NO and 4019 to YES and we are on SP 15.

Have we missed maintaining any Parameter ID??

Hi Nihal,

Set the Parameter 4011(Delete Tech Roles if its part of the Business Role) to YES,It will remove the roles if they are part of the Business Role.

Hi Ramesh,

Just to clarify on my earlier query.

If only 1 business role is assigned to user and I try removing it, the respective single roles are removed. Its only a issue when there are 2 Business roles with common single roles are in action.

Earlier the common single roles were also removed as per my earlier example as below image. We had added paramter ID 4019 and set it to YES, and the common roles were not removed now.

But the issue now is that even the uncommon roles were left back. (Actually none of the single roles are removed.

And if we Set 4011 to YES, it will enable us to remove a single role through access request which is a part of business role added to user and we do not want that to happen.

Nihal,

since you use business roles I recommend to update the system to the latest support package.
