BEx Analyzer - getting leading zero for Date field

Hi All,

I have an issue with BEx Analyzer date field.

The requirement is to have date format changed from YYYY/MM/DD to YYYY/M/D for one of the users.

I have tried changing the settings for date format in control Panel in user's system.

The date in Bex changes accordingly but the problem is the user does not get leading zero for date

If it is 8 Oct 2015, she gets 8/10/2015 and not 08/10/2015.

Please suggest how to get the leading zero in place.

I have date with leading 0 in my reports.

Please suggest any ideas you have.

Thank you.

Hi Sadaf

I think it is displaying values as per the user setting : YYYY/M/D

M --> this displays single digit for months below 10 (ex :   1 for Jan)

D-->  same as above (ex: 1 for 01)

Hi Sadaf,

at cube level how date look like 8/10/2015 or 08/10/2015?

if cube data look like with leading 0(08/10/2015) then issue with analyzer(excel).

if she is getting 8/10/2015 at analyzer level  then ask her select date colum in excel sheet-->right click-->format cells-->number-->date -- >set required format like below.

Thanks

Hi Raman,

Thanks for your reply.

I have already suggested this to the user.

Any other ideas?I get the leading 0s but she does not. Something to do with Excel version or BEx perhaps:/

at cube level we have leading 0 for date.

Thanks,

Sadaf

Hi SF,

Lets try to do reporting form your end on your machine.

lets see how it shows.

if it shows correct format then check user MS office versions and suggest above option.

Lets seek basis team help and compare yours and user id settings for date format.

that may give some clue.

Thanks
