OPEN QUANTITY FIELD INCONSISTENT

Hi Experts,

I have created an inventory transfer and later on copy to inventory transfer,  once  I added the inventory transfer document an error message pop up

" entered quantity will make the open quantity field inconsistent with the open inventory quantity field in the base document ". How can I fix this error?

are you trying to transfer more quantity than the original quantity on transfer request?

Hi Frank, Yes. Im transferring more than/less than the quantity stated in the base document, ITR

For less quantity, it should be fine.

For over quantity, I suggest u to add another line for the extra quantity. This should solve ur problem.

But the system does not identify which line item causes an error

when u copy, the quantity shown on IT will be the opening balance on ITR, if u want to change to bigger number, instead of changing it, just add an extra line to hold the extra quantity.
