Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to point a report (CR) to Development database and what used to be a 5 minute task usually is turning out to be a concern now. I have never had any issues in the past switching the databases on a report. Is anyone familiar with this error message or might want to share some insight or thoughts as to what this might be referring to.

I have validate the database password, it's active and current, but crystal report does not seem to accept it. Please find the screenshot in the attachment.

I'd appreciate any help on this.

Thanks

Gaurav

That is a new one.... Is there a Database/table/field with that name?

What version of CR are you using?

Connecting ODBC or OLE DB?

If current version of CR you can enable CRLogger which is our database logging component and it may possibly tell you more.

If Cr 2011 or 2013 add these to your System Environment variables and create the c:\logging folder:

LOGGING_DIR = c:\logging

LOGGING_ENABLED_ASSERT = 1

LOGGING_ENABLED_RUNTIME = 30

Remember to delete them when done, you will notice a huge performance hit so be patient...

Thanks for your quick reply Don !

We are using CR2013, connected to Siebel eBusiness Application.

btw, I deleted the connection and reestablished it, it works fine with the same credentials.

Who knows what was wrong with the earlier connection.

Thanks

Gaurav
