Error: Unsupported Encoding ISO-8859-1, only UTF-8 supported

Hello guys,

Quickfix is the solution given in error log.But I am not able to find quickfix option in sap hana studio.i even tried changing encodings in the hana studio  windows preferences and project resource while searching for encoding but still the same error is coming while activating the ui5 project in the hana repository.

can u please help me to find the solution of this

Change the IDE Workspace usage encoding on the preferences configuration.

Hi Tejas,

To solve this problem first clear Error log in Hana Studio. Try to Activate Your project. Error will come in Error Log then right click on that error and find Quick Fix option.

Hi Tejas,

if you cannot find quick fix, you may find the related file in your pc, such as,

C:\Users\<username>\hana_work\<repository>\__empty__\EmpApp\.settings

->org.eclipse.jdt.core.prefs

Open it with notepad and save it as UTF-8 file and replace the original one, then activate again,

it should work.
