View on Demand access for instanses

Hi Experts,

I need to restrict the users to view the base webi report, as this report for state heads.

with respective state head they need to view their instances only, but they should not access original file because in original file data will shown for all

states. please help on this.

create publication and send these report though publicaion to indviusal users.

You can create profile based on which user should view which data.

then u need to setup a row level secuirty at DB or Universe level secuirity.

Yes,

I have done and scheduled document on behalf of state head. now user able to see the instance which he owns, but in base report data is for all the states. so he should not get the access to base file.

Hi,

In this case disable the Refresh option for this group.Users can view the instances and if they will open the report then they can not refresh the report.

Right click on the user group->Customization->Features tab->uncheck the refresh option.

Hi Amit,

It will effect instance also, user should have the rights to refresh and slice and dice on report instance.
