Report Sample - Can't view Crystal Report on Linux server

Hi Guys,

A new SAP BI Platform 4.1 SP5 Development environment has been stood up on a Linux Server.  We noticed the Crystal Report Sample Reports do not refresh. Instead, it keeps prompting for a Database Logon Credential each time I hit the Refresh button.

The Symptom:

• Inputting database logon information is required when refreshing the sample Crystal reports in InfoView or Central Management Console (CMC)
• How to configure the database logon for the sample Crystal reports to make them refreshable

How can I be able to refresh a CR sample report without getting a prompt message to input Database Logon information?

Hi, in case of Linux, please check if you have working drivers for the specific database. For example ODBC middleware (connection) to MsAcces is not supported. For training purposes I once had to migrate the famous eFashion Access database to DB2 for that reason...
