Drop down list as a parameter....

May somebody please help on how I can achieve the below.

I have two departments A and B. In each of the departments I have branches like finance, legal and review.

I want to use cross tab to create a report for this, my problem is how do I create a drop down list so much that when the report is drawn, it shows a drop down with A and B and when A is selected it shows a drop down with departments under A.

I hope I managed to explain my problem clearly. Thank you in advance for the help

Hi Star,

What version of CR are you using?

If you're using one of the legacy CR Designer (2008, 2011, 2013), you can follow this :

Its Crystal 9. Can I still use the cascading prompt

I'm pretty sure CR 9 did not support dynamic cascading prompts.

I concur with Abhilash. Dynamic cascading prompts were a big deal when they were introduces in CR 2008 (v. 12.x).
