Waste handling

Hi,

We have a process were waste are generated during the production process but are not measurable at each production order level.

Waste are accumulated at one place and after one week stock are brought in system through 501 mvt and then one special production order is created which have recursive BOM and material good receipt and good issue is carried out at confirmation.

Please confirm whether their is some other alternative for this process. As using 501 mvt is very risky.

Hi,

As you said that, waste is not measurable in order to order.

This may be a one of the solution.

1. Create one order type without selection of BOM and routing.

2. Then create production order without material.

3. Add byeproduct material manualy in component material with -ve sign and qty.

4. Then do confirmation of production order ( GR of byeproduct material is with Mov. type 531)

Hi,

Yes, T code is CO07.

1. In that you have to keep material blank.

2. Enter delivery qty and UOM.

3. Click on component detail add waste material code with -ve qty.

4. D production order confirmation ( In case back flush is active then check documented goods movement in confirmation screen , waste material with mov type 531 is available).

Yes I got it , But Pravin this will impact product costing. How do we load the cost of waste in order ?

Hi,

In production order without material , there is settlement rule in which you can enter main order number. For more detail get in touch with CO consultant.

Hello

As Costing aspects this waste has to be considered as  By-product  and perform 531 against each production order.

If waste measurable fraction against finished goods ,you can define it inside BOM itself with auto posting(Back flush Indicator)

Waste are not measureable. That's is why we are not using 531 autobackflashing

If it is not measurable,can it be co-related with FERT with some ratio or percentage?

Using some development or some other method it cost has to be distributed to the all production orders created on that particular periods.
