Work center capacity determination during planning

Hi experts,

Need suggestion on one point.

My client is using technical objects ,having main work center WC#XXX. Sometimes this work center is being used for performing other jobs within same department but not related to this asset directly. For that they create different work orders.

Finally the cost is settled to department level cost center.

Now problem is with capacity planning, since initially its not known ,what proportion of the manpower will be taken out for other job. It depends upon the work load.

Please provide your viewpoints to tackle this issue

Thanks

Hi,

You can have several capacities defined in tab "Capacity". The system can calculate a workload for each of the capacities you defined, and you can analyze them separately in CM01.

What is unique is the scheduling. For the scheduling, you must decide which one of the capacities you want to use, you cannot use several capacities for scheduling.

Hello JK S,

This can be known through CM01. Run this for your WorkCenter and Planner Group of Technical Objects to know the Workload. And then run for Planner Group of Other jobs. Thus both the loads are known.

If PlGroup option is not suitable to you, then Run this with only WorkCenter value and in the output you can know the details through Cap. details/period button.

Note that out put is available with week number of the year.(Presently we are in 43rd week of the year)
