Is there any exit for Substitution of FAGLFLEXA-PRCTR?

Is there any exit/ way i can substitute the PRCTR/Profit Center in GL view rather then substitute it at BSEG Level?

When a transaction is being posted and all New GL derivation rules fail to derive the correct profit center for the FAGLFLEXA Line item, The substitution should assign the profit center based on given criteria which includes combination of Company codes and their respective Default Profit Centers.

Is it actually possible to substitute a FAGLFLEXA Line item Field? Is yes, How do we do it in this scenario.

Hi Rakesh,

Within SAP Standard the substitution of PRCTR is not allowed,

to substitute PRCTR is only possible in case you modified table GB01.

As described in note 42615 SAP released only the following fields

to be substituted:

BSEG-FIPOS, BSEG-HBKID, BSEG-MSCHL, BSEG-MANSP, BSEG-MADAT, BSEG-MANST,

Sorry but the field PRCTR was never released for substitution.

Check out this BADI - FAGL_ITEMS_CH_DATA.

Implement one for the same and check if you can manipulate the data( ct_items ) in  CHANGE_ITEMS method.

Hi Rakesh,

We created a substitution rule (transaction OBBH) for defaulting profit center for one of my clients.

The default profit centers was maintained in the company code additional parameters (table T001Z) for AP, AR and GL postings. A small user exit was created to pick up default center and was assigned in the substitution. Then depending on the company code and account type (AP, AR, Gl), the default profit center was picked up.

The Substitution should kick in after the document splitting process and there is no field for FAGLFLEXA available in Substitution fields. Can you mention which Exit can help in this case?

Hi Rakesh,

Please check the document splitting configuration, GL field status groups. The profit center field should be optional in Field Status Group.

Why document splitting is not working in your case.

Document Splitting is working but in many cases one dummy PRCTR is being pulled in across several Company Codes at FAGLFLEXA Level if BSEG-PRCTR is left Blank. We wanted to create Validation and Substitution for such cases with Varying Scenarios.

General User: Validation should stop them and ask them to enter a Valid profit center in Bseg-Prctr.

Service ID's: The Validation should not stop them but a Substitution Should Substitute the FAGLFLEXA-PRCTR i.e. with Dummy Profit Center to a Valid Profit Center.

Any Alternate solution is also most welcome, But what we are looking at currently is for a Exit that can help us achieve this.

We cant keep the Profit Center field as mandatory because, In quite a few cases the Valid Profit center is being derived.
